Hayes Collection at CU Library
Guild members were treated to a private viewing of selections from the James Hayes collection housed in the Rare Books Room, Norlin Library, University of Colorado, Boulder. Mr. Hayes retired to Colorado after a long career as a calligrapher in Chicago. He was instrumental in the formation and nurture of the Colorado Calligraphers' Guild. The weather on Saturday, September 11 was sunny and perfect (except for the heavy traffic caused by the CU/Texas A&M game) for our first in-person program since the world shut down.
