December program – Winter Tea

Hello Colorado Calligraphers’ Guild Members,

We are excited to get together in person again! Come and enjoy some festive snacks and drinks with us. We will have a holiday card swap, raffle prizes and enjoy making a festive paper Holiday Ball pictured below.

If you want to participate in the card swap, bring a handmade holiday card, and in its envelope please include a separate sheet of paper that has information on how you made the card – materials, paper, where your idea came from, etc.

Supplies to bring for making the Holiday Ball are: pencil, ruler, scissors or x-acto knife, metal ruler, embossing stylus, bone folder and double sided tape. The pattern and paper will be supplied.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, November 29 to Jenny Allen at ccgprograms@coloradocalligraphers.com so we can prepare enough materials. Click this link for directions to Grace United Methodist Church, 4905 E. Yale Ave., Denver 80222. The church shares a parking lot with the Yale Light Rail station.  Please see note below for additional directions as we will use a different entrance than usual.

Please note that due to a conflict with a funeral scheduled for Grace UMC at 2 p.m. on Dec. 2, we will be using a different entrance and space for the Winter Tea.  The entrance is on the east side of the church building next to a large parking lot.  The driveway to access the parking lot is on the east side of the church property between the church and a large apartment building on the corner of East Yale Circle. If you look at a photo view of Grace UMC on Google maps, it is easy to see the driveway and parking lot. If you have questions, contact Margaret at mjstookes@gmail.com
