West Side Study Group Schedule

The West Side Study Group dates are set! Mark your calendars! As before, we will meet the third Friday of each month. The time seemed to also work for everyone, 1 – 4 p.m.

Dates are:    Feb. 17      (Renee’s)
                       March 17  (Renee’s)
                       Aprii 21     (Jill’s studio)
                       May 1        (Renee’s)
                       June 16     (Renee’s)

We have space for 10 participants. Send an email and let us know to reserve your spot. The fee remains at $10 per person.
No need to pre-pay. Bring the fee the day you attend.
For those new to the study group, please email Renee for driving directions.
For February: Bring your standard calligraphy tools, ink, paint and paper.
We will explore the expressive marks of scroll lines and the effect on a variety of letter forms. Bring two sharpened pencils and plenty of paper for practice. Include any double ended points (scroll points – Mitchell, or music nibs), markers, parallel pens, hand made points, etc. We will be adding color, so bring along a few colored pencils, or your favorite palette of paint and paint brushes. I will have extra colored pencils, and mixed gouache for you to give a try!
For an added bonus, bring any handcrafted holiday cards you received whether for Christmas or for Valentines Day. Let’s spark creative inspiration and ideas for future projects!
For those new to the study group, email me and I will send you directions.
I look forward to starting the year with each of you!
Cheers!
